Frequently asked questions

Do venues require photo booth operators to carry insurance?

Most event venues, hotels, and wedding sites ask for a certificate of insurance before you set up, often naming the venue as additional insured. General liability is what those requests are usually asking for.

What is inland marine coverage, and do I need it for my booths?

Inland marine is the coverage generally intended to respond to physical damage to portable business equipment. For a photo booth operator, that means the booths themselves — damaged in transit, dropped during setup, or stolen from a venue. The quote form asks for the value of each booth so this can be sized correctly.

Does it matter whether I send an attendant to the event?

Yes. An unattended booth left with a client is a different exposure than one your staff sets up, operates, and breaks down. The quote form asks directly, because carriers rate the two differently.

I lease a permanent spot for my booth instead of doing events. Is that covered?

Tell us on the form. A booth sitting in a leased location under a multi-month or annual lease raises different questions (premises liability, the lease's insurance requirements) than a mobile booth traveling to weddings and parties.
