Personal Trainer Insurance

Coverage built for personal trainers — gym-based, mobile, and online operations.

What this coverage is intended to address

Important: Coverage terms, eligibility, and pricing are determined by the carrier and vary by state and individual circumstance. The information on this page is general and educational — nothing here implies, affords, or offers any specific insurance coverage. Review the actual policy form and consult a licensed insurance professional before binding.

Coverage products commonly considered

Most personal trainer operations consider one or more of these coverage types:

General Liability
Professional Liability / E&O
Inland Marine (Equipment)

Hypothetical claim scenarios

These are hypothetical examples only. Actual coverage depends on the policy form, exclusions, and carrier determination.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need professional liability if I have general liability?

General liability is generally intended to address third-party bodily injury and property damage at the training location. Professional liability — also called Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance — is generally intended to address allegations that your training, advice, or programming caused harm. Most professional trainers carry both.

Does this cover mobile and outdoor training?

Off-site training (parks, client homes) is sometimes excluded from standard policies. A mobile-trainer endorsement is generally intended to address that gap.
